Ready for some breath-taking views of Paris? Every visiter knows that going up the Eiffel Tower is a must! Want to avoid lines? Reserve tickets in advance!! And of course, choose to ride the elevator. Thanks to my brother, we were one of the first 20 people up at the top of the tower (we went for the 9am cue)! I cannot tell you how happy we were to see how short our line was compared to the lines everyone else was in.
We took bus 69 to get there. This bus line also hits all the main sights of Paris and takes the most scenic route! We started out from the Louvre and got off at Champ de Mars. Perfect walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. We were also lucky we got great weather at the top! AND tourist-free for a good 10 minutes!
Walk around the top level and enjoy the awesome view! Everything looks very miniature. You’ll see all the main monuments/sights of the city (Bastille, Champ Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur…etc) all at once. The second level is pretty great as well, but more crowded since you have to pay more to get to the top. Anyway, I’ll cut all the chit-chat and let the pictures speak for themselves!
